Chris:
Well, the Hunt family has always been stoic by nature, wouldn't you say? Stoic and reticent.

Hi Bob:
I sure do remember the stoicism you displayed that day -and admired it, as I remember -as a kid, I was quite afraid of Mom's fury myself -I always thought it was a great display of juvenile courage. I'd probably have fainted if you'd shown it to me -but, barring any blood, feces (just occured to me that would make a great Scrabble word, something I'd probably not notice if the tiles were on my little ledge) or vomit, you can always call on me!
Chris
PS-another favorite childhood anecdote for me is when Richard did something wrong & Mom chased him through the house and then dragged David off the lower bunk and spanked the crap out of him for whatever Richard had done while he was hiding out under the bunk he dove under as Mom entered the room -maybe you can write something about twindom in the Hunt household? (remember when neighbors tried to refer to each of them as simplly "Hey, Twin!" since they couldn't tell them apart and how furious that made them? or how whichever one came out wearing a particular outfit got to wear it for the day and the other had to go change? maybe something like the "rules of being a twin," -like stick together unless you can pass the buck successfully with an under bed dive at the last moment??

Bob,

I am going to start inspecting fences soon. Yes, its true that devils' wire fences were first designed to keep cattle in but perhaps farmers just wanted to keep kids out hence; modern fences being installed "upside down". : )

Well, I just finished my third Cormac , "No Country For Old Men" and am currently reading, for the 2nd time, "An Arrow Pointing to Heaven" by James Bryan Smith. I highly recommend both of these books to all.

But anyway, thought I'd take a break and read one of my new favorite authors, Mr. Hunt. I'm sure glad we didn't know each other as boys for we may not have made it to adulthood. Remind me to tell you about the "Green Apple Battle".
