Well, you know anyone who ever says, "I think NOT!" is guilty of whatever it is he had just vehemently denied, don't you? And yes, I can organize with the best of you, but somewhere during the endless toddler years -and maybe teen years as well, I gave up on perfect organization and accepted that there is a black hole in our household with the stamina of the Bermuda Triangle where various items of mine have just disappeared over the years, never to be seen again -that, or my kids have been selling my stuff on E-bay forever and just deny ever having seen whatever item is in question at any given moment!

aaahhh, so glad to hear that I have a family member who shares similar quirks! I too organize the money in my wallet the same way (well, not the serial numbers), as well as getting rid of the old bills first. I also like to align the cd's & dvd's correctly in their cases. Now, if I had the ability to have a media storage free from risk of being destroyed by toddler hands, then i would probably have a similar organization of music.
I would suggest that you and I, maybe Mom too (although not the same level), have been gifted the recessive family gene for organization...and I am very glad for it!

Hee-hee! Thanks. More like spammed on six continents. But thanks. I'm hoping to pick up some readers at the Antarctic research base. I mean, what else is there to do down there?

Congratulations on being read on six continents. You're a smash in Europe! Look out, Antarctica!

Well, I wouldn't trouble myself over FIFO, but I do like to hold onto the crisper bills and immediately dispense with the worn ones. I particulary dislike getting a note that's been torn and then mended with tape, and I hate it when people write on money (except for the Where'sGeorge? game, which appeals to my interest in logistics and geographic information).

Bob,

Thank you for providing us with a true scale of OCD. I feel that I can now say with a reasonable amount of certainty;you win! For a second there, I thought that you were going to say that your wallet bills could only be spent in order of freshness. You know the grocery rule of FIFO(first in first out).Searching for items priced only near or under the demonination of the least fresh bill can be tiring!

Ah, but should they be horizontal or vertical? 45 degrees? Guess I'd go with horizontal slots, suggesting stability. Then again, vertical would echo the electrical slots...

As far as the screw heads, I do that whenever I have reason to work on an outlet cover. I got the idea while working construction during the summer. It is one of those little things that lets people know that you took the time to do something very well.
